Oilers Blank Battlers 24-0 | Set School Record for Wins

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team set a new school record with their 13th win of the season as they came away with a 24-0 victory against Alderson Broaddus University on April 27 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. The Oilers are now 13-3 on the season with a 9-2 record in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers jumped out to a 16-0 lead at the half and cruised through the second period to earn the shutout. They outshot the Battlers 46-4 and held a 35-13 advantage in ground balls.

Ciara Burud had a monster game for Findlay as she posted nine goals and eight draw controls. Her nine goals tied the G-MAC record for most goals in a game.

Olivia Sherman had four goals and four assists to go along with eight draw controls while Hannah Peebles had three goals, four assists and three caused turnovers.

Allison Kelly also recorded a hat trick in the win while Annie Painter and Maddi Brown each caused three turnovers. Brown also added a goal while Natalie Hartel, Jacelyn Litman, Lexi Miller and Hanna Morgan each scored too.

Rachel Heath picked up the win for Findlay and made one save. Brooke Eicher also saw time in goal and made two saves.

The Oilers will now have a day off before hosting Davis & Elkins College on April 29 at noon for senior day.
