7 Oilers Earn All-Conference Honors

All-Conference Team

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team had seven individuals honored as all-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) as the league office unveiled their postseason awards on May 3.

Seniors Olivia Sherman and Natalie Fury were named first team along with junior Hannah Peebles and sophomores Ciara Burud and Brittany Stephens.

Sherman has led the Oilers with 81 points, the fourth-highest total in school history. She has scored 49 goals and has set a new Findlay record with 32 assists on the year. Sherman has also registered a team-high 69 draw controls and caused 16 turnovers.

Fury has recorded 47 draw controls and 35 ground balls. She has also caused 22 turnovers on the year.

Peebles has scored 34 goals and posted 25 assists, the third-highest total in program history. She has also caused 18 turnovers and picked up 25 ground balls.

Burud leads the team with 53 goals and ranks second with 72 points. She has also won 55 draw controls, picked up 29 ground balls and caused 19 turnovers.

Stephens leads the team with 42 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers.

In addition, junior Brie Caruso was named second team all-conference while senior Brooke Eicher picked up honorable mention accolades.

Caruso has registered 33 goals, 24 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers while Eicher has a 6-0 record in goal with 41 saves.
