Oilers Beat Walsh | Advance to G-MAC Final

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team advanced to the finals of the 2018 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship with an 18-5 win over Walsh University on May 3 in Painesville, Ohio.

The Oilers, who are 15-3 on the season, outshot the Cavaliers by a 43-11 margin and registered 33 shots on goal. They also picked up 37 ground balls and won 15 draw controls in the victory.

Olivia Sherman paced the team with eight goals and an assist. She also picked up eight ground balls and won four draws.

Ciara Burud recorded three goals to go along with six draws while Hannah Peebles had two goals, three assists and four ground balls.

Allison Kelly scored twice, Jacelyn Litman posted three assists and Brittany Stephens caused a pair of turnovers.

Claire Ferrell picked up the win and made five saves.

The Oilers will be back in action again on May 5 when they face Lake Erie College at 5:30 p.m. in Painesville, Ohio for the league championship.
