Lacrosse Receives Academic Honor

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse program captured Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on July 23 for their hard work in the classroom.

To be eligible for the award, a team must have posted a 3.0 grade point average or higher for the 2017-18 academic year.

Individually, the Oilers had eight student-athletes earn Academic Honor Roll accolades. Allison Kelly, Annie Painter, Olivia Sherman, Claire Ferrell, Sandra Byerly, Maddi Brown, Emma Spellman and Natalie Hartel each received the award for Findlay.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior, or graduate student, and have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater.
