The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team fell 12-11 to McKendree University on March 10 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. The loss gives the Oilers a 2-5 record on the season.

The Oilers went up 7-3 at the half and held a 10-7 lead midway through the second period. McKendree then scored five goals within a two minute span to go up 12-10 before the Oilers tacked on a late goal for the final margin of the contest.

McKendree held an 18-7 advantage in draw controls while Findlay had a 41-26 advantage in ground balls.

Junior Ciara Burud led the offense with four goals and an assist while senior Hannah Peebles recorded three goals and three assists. Burud also added six ground balls and caused five turnovers in the game.

Senior Brie Caruso also scored three goals while senior Jacelyn Litman had three assists, four ground balls, and four caused turnovers.

Senior Claire Ferrell took the loss in goal, but made 14 saves to go along with four caused turnovers. She also picked up three ground balls.

The Oilers will be back in action again on March 14 when they host ninth-ranked Regis University at 3pm.
