Oilers Fall at 10th-ranked Grand Valley

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team fell 14-4 against 10th-ranked Grand Valley State University on March 11 in Allendale, Mich. The loss gives the Oilers a 0-3 record on the season.

The Oilers jumped out to a 4-2 lead early in the game, but trailed 5-4 after the first period. They were then shutout the rest of the way as the Lakers improved to 6-1 on the year.

Junior Izzy Murphy-Morrow led the team with four goals while sophomore Erin Kodger and senior Kendra Lindell scored one apiece.

Junior Amber Patterson led the defense with four ground balls while senior Rachel Bornstein made 15 saves.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Sunday when they play Davenport University at 12pm in Grand Rapids, Mich.
