Sergent Wins At Ohio Northern

The University of Findlay wrestling team, ranked 8th in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) poll, sent a handful of competitors to the Ohio Northern Invitational on Saturday, December 4 in Ada, Ohio.

Ben Sergent led the way by winning the 125-pound weight class with a 4-0 record. He defeated Waynesburg's Alex Crown 5-3 by decision in the finals of the bracket.

Matt Clum also placed for the Roughnecks at the event, taking fourth after having to leave the third place match against West Liberty State's J.D. Ramsey with a medical forfeit. He posted a 4-2 record during the event.

The Roughnecks will send some more wrestlers to Notre Dame College tomorrow for a meet beginning at 1 pm.
