#6 Roughnecks Take Down #11 Mountain Cats

The University of Findlay Roughnecks, ranked sixth in the nation, came away with a 22-12 win over #11 Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday, Dec. 1 in Croy Gymnasium to give them a 2-0 record on the season in dual meets.

The Roughnecks got things going with a win at 125 in the first match as Ben Sergent, ranked second in the nation, came away with a 6-0 win over Evan Link. 

At 141, Joey White defeated Dave Cawley by a 3-1 decision and Jordan Cowell won 8-6 over Joel Paolo in the 157-pound weight class.

Mason True, the top-ranked wrestler in the nation at 165, earned a 16-8, major decision victory over Keith Ryan and Adam Walters, the top-ranked grappler at 184, claimed a 5-2 win over Travis McCkillop.

Ashton Brown and Andrew Tumlin then closed the match with victories as well.  Brown defeated Sean O'Connell by a score of 6-2 at 197 and Tumlin, ranked seventh in the nation at 285, earned a 5-3 win by decision over Josh Duplin.
