#8 Roughnecks Go 3-1 at Newberry
The University of Findlay wrestling team went 3-1 at the Newberry Duals, which concluded on Saturday, Dec. 8 in Newberry, S.C.
The #8 Roughnecks came away with a 25-15 win over #20 UNC-Pembroke in the opening match before dropping a 25-9 decision to #5 Newberry. They then defeated Limestone 26-13 and ended the event with a 21-18 victory over Lindenwood.
Adam Walters, the top-ranked wrestler in the nation in the 184-pound weight class, led the Roughnecks by going 4-0 at the meet.
Andrew Tumlin also had a good event, going 4-0 in the 285-pound weight class while Mason True, who is ranked second in the nation at 165, went 3-1.
Third-ranked Ben Sergent also posted a 3-1 record in the 125-pound weight class while Jan Ulinski finished with a 3-1 mark at 149 as well for the Roughnecks.
