#7 Roughnecks to Host #19 Ashland, #2 Notre Dame this Weekend

The University of Findlay wrestling team will host two dual meets this weekend in Croy Gymnasium.  The 7th ranked Roughnecks will welcome #19 Ashland University to town on Friday, Feb. 1 and the host #2 Notre Dame College on Saturday, Feb. 2.  Both matches are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The Roughnecks have been led by junior Adam Walters, who is currently ranked second in the nation in the 184-pound weight class.  Walters, who finished as the national runner-up last year, has achieved a 17-1 record on the year.

In addition, junior Ben Sergent is ranked sixth in the 125-pound weight class, senior Andrew Tumlin is seventh in the 285-pound weight class and senior Mason True checks in eighth at 165.

Sergent sports a 19-8 record, Tumlin has achieved a 22-8 mark and True is currently 24-14 on the season.

The Eagles have been led by Joe Brandt, who is ranked third in the 197-pound weight class.  Max Byrd is also a nationally ranked competitor, checking in seventh at 125.

The Falcons are led by Joey Davis, who is the top-ranked wrestler in the nation at 165.  John Rivera checks in second at 149, Eric Burgey is ranked third at 174, Orlando Scales is fifth at 285 and Jeffery Pelton is ranked seventh in the 157-pound weight class.
