Turner Leads Roughnecks at Ashland

Several UF wrestlers competed in the Ashland Simonson Open on Nov. 22 in Ashland, Ohio. The group was led by freshman Alonzo Turner, who placed second in the 165-pound weight class.

Turner finished the open event with a 4-1 record. He reached the finals with a 3-1 win over A.J. Agazarm, who was wrestling unattached. He then dropped a 4-1 decision in the finals against Ohio's Austin Reese.

Sophomore Cody Hogston went 3-2 in the heavyweight division for the Roughnecks as well.
