Roughnecks Wrap Central Missouri Duals
The University of Findlay wrestling program competed at the Central Missouri Duals on Jan. 4 in Warrensburg, Mo. The Roughnecks went 2-1, claiming victories over Newman (38-3) and Central Missouri (29-15). They also took a 32-9 loss against 4th-ranked Ouachita Baptist.
Sophomore Joey White, who is ranked 6th nationally, paced the Roughnecks with a 3-0 record in the 157-pound weight class. Sophomore heavyweight Luke Fleming was also undefeated as he posted a 2-0 record at the event.
Freshman Josh Wimer (133), freshman Ryan Skonieczny (141), sophomore Nick Goebel (149) and sophomore Gerald Beck (197) all posted 2-1 records for the Roughnecks in their respective weight classes as well.
The Roughnecks will wrestle again on Jan. 10 when they host Indianapolis and Tiffin in Croy Gymnasium.
