Oilers Ranked 2nd in Super Region 2, 8th Nationally
The University of Findlay wrestling team is ranked second in the Super Region 2 according to D2wrestle.com. They also check in eighth in the nation.
Individually, junior Nick Goebel, junior Joey White and junior Nic Skonieczny are all the top-rated wrestlers in their respective weight classes in Super Region 2. Goebel is at the top of 149, White is first at 157 and Skonieczny is at the top of the 165-pound class. Goebel is also the top-ranked grappler in the nation in the 149-pound weight class while White is ranked fifth nationally. Skonieczny is sixth nationally as well.
Junior Luke Fleming is ranked second at 285, sophomore Ryan Skonieczny is third at 141 and junior Bradley Metz is fifth at 174 in the region. Fleming also appears in the national rankings, checking in eighth.
