Roughnecks Ranked 1st in Super Region 2

The University of Findlay wrestling team is the top-ranked squad in the Super Region 2 NCAA Division II rankings, which was released on Jan. 3.

The Roughnecks have nine individuals ranked in their respective weight classes and are led by Nick Goebel, who is the top-ranked wrestler in the 149-pound weight class.

Schuyler Phillips is ranked second at 125 while Joey White and Alonzo Turner are also ranked second in the 157-pound and 165-pound weight classes, respectively.

Bradley Metz is ranked third at 174, Josh Wimer is ranked third at 141 and Luke Fleming is ranked fourth in the 285-pound weight class. They are followed by Devin Rogers, who is ranked sixth at 133, and Chancellor Sonnenberg, who is ranked eighth at 197.
