#10 Roughnecks Crush #12 Lake Erie 39-7

The University of Findlay wrestling team, ranked tenth in NCAA Division II, clobbered 12th-ranked Lake Erie College by a score of 39-7 on Feb. 4 in Croy Gymnasium.

The Roughnecks started the match with a forfeit victory at 125 before Devin Rogers claimed a 10-8 win at 133. Josh Wimer then pinned Zach Ruggles in 4:49 at 141 before Nick Goebel, the top-ranked wrestler in the nation at 149, defeated Nick Boggs, the second-ranked wrestler in the nation, by a score of 4-0.

James Wimer then scored a 5-2 victory at 157 and the Roughnecks picked up a forfeit win at 165. Bradley Metz then recorded the Roughnecks second pin of the night at 174 in 2:26. The Roughnecks would then lose the next two bouts before Luke Fleming closed the evening with a pin in 1:16 at 285.
