#11 Dragons Defeat #10 Roughnecks in Croy

11th-ranked Tiffin defeated 10th-ranked Findlay by a score of 21-16 on Feb. 10 in Croy Gymnasium. The win by the Dragons gave them the 2017 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) championship.

The Roughnecks got off to a good start with two wins in the first two matches as Schuyler Phillips and Devin Rogers put Findlay up 7-0. Tiffin's Trey Grine then scored a pin at 141 to cut the lead to one at 7-6.

Nick Goebel claimed a 6-0 victory at 149 for Findlay and Joey White followed with a 5-1 win at 157 to give Findlay some breathing room. Beau Minnick answered for the Dragons with a 3-1 win in overtime against Alonzo Turner at 165 before Bradley Metz righted the ship with a 5-4 victory in overtime at 174.

The Dragons would then control the rest of the match with three straight victories to claim the title.
