Top-10 Individual Performances | #6 Nick Goebel

The 2016-17 athletic year was another successful one for the Oilers, who saw a plethora of individual athletes achieve outstanding accomplishments. The UF athletic media relations staff has put together a list of the top-10 individual performances from the 2016-17 campaign and will be revealing them during the summer months.

#6 | Nick Goebel | Wrestling

Senior Nick Goebel was dominant for the Roughnecks during the 2016-17 campaign. He was the top-ranked wrestler in the nation for the entire year at 149 and finished the season with a 27-1 record. A regional champion, Goebel finished third at the national tournament to earn All-American accolades and was also a first team all-conference pick.

Goebel ranks seventh all-time at Findlay with 110 career victories and set a single-season record for victories with 40 during the 2015-16 campaign. The Bloomdale, Ohio native was a three-time All-American and won three regional titles during his tenure with the Roughnecks.
