Metz Earns Wrestler of the Week for Second Time

Findlay, Ohio - For the second time this season, senior Bradley Metz has earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Wrestler of the Week. Metz has earned the honor following a perfect 3-0 performance at this past weekend's Ranger Duals.

The Roughnecks, ranked no. 16 in the country, were matched up against three of the nation's top-five teams. Metz, ranked no. 7 in the nation at 184 pounds, began his day taking down no. 11 Connor Price of Wisconsin-Parkside by a 3-1 decision. He followed that up with a major decision victory over Ryan Vasbinder of McKendree.

Metz finished the day with a 14-0 shutout of Brady Nelson from Saint Cloud State, the no. 1 team in the country.

This is the fourth time in six weeks so far this season that a wrestler from Findlay has taken home the award with Metz winning twice and junior Alonzo Turner (165) and senior heavyweight Mimmo Little joining him.
