The University of Findlay women's soccer team improved to 2-2 on the season with a 2-0 win over Lake Erie College on Friday, September 9 in Painesville, Ohio. The victroy also gave the Oilers a 2-0 record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
The Oilers scored both of their goals in the second half as Ashley Ruz headed in a corner kick off of an assist from Erica Ernst at the 55:46 mark to get things going.
At the 63:20 mark of the contest, Ann Eichman scored off of an assist from Danielle Hart to add to the lead.
Alicia Tutino took care of the rest in the net for Findlay as she earned the shutout with four saves.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Sunday when they travel to Ashland, Ohio to take on Ashland University at 1 pm.
