The University of Findlay women's soccer team came from behind to defeat Ohio Dominican University on Sunday, Sept. 23 in Findlay, Ohio.

Ohio Dominican jumped out front early with three goals in the first 35-minutes of the game to give themselves a demanding 3-0 lead. However, in the 36th minute, Emily Beddoes put the Oilers on the board to make the score 3-1.

Findlay came out after halftime with a winning mentality and scored their second goal in the 51st minute when Sarah Silone found Megan Gallaway on a cross, cutting the deficite to one. Then, in the 55th minute, Galloway dribbled the ball down the middle of the field, then passed outside to Beddoes, who found a wide open Katie Burke in the goal box for the equalizer.

Galloway put Findlay on top for the first time in the match with her second goal of the game on a header from Nicole Williams to make the score 4-3. However, Ohio Dominican would answer with a goal of their own in the 76th minute to, once again, tie the game.

The Oilers put the game away in the 80th minute with their fifth and final goal when Katelyn Anderson found the back of the net moments after entering the game.

Kelsea Corns picked up her second win of the season between the posts with three saves in the match.

The Oilers record is now 2-3-1 with a 2-0-1 mark in GLIAC play. They will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 28 when they travel to Michigan Tech.
