Oilers Allow Only 2 Shots in 2-0 Win

The University of Findlay women's soccer team defeated Notre Dame College by the score of 2-0 on Sunday, Oct. 7 in Lyndhurst, Ohio.

The Oilers got on the board in the 21st minute when an own goal rolled into the back of the net for Notre Dame to make the score 1-0. Findlay was able to tack on another goal in the 38th minute when Megan Gallaway found Katie Burke on a through pass to give the Oilers a 2-0 lead.

Findlay dominated the game on both sides of the field, allowing only two total shots (1 on goal), compared to their 22 shot, 11 on goal performance.

Kelsea Corns picked up her third win of the season between the pipes, bringing her record to 3-4-1.

The Oilers are now 3-6-1 on the season with a 3-3-1 mark in GLIAC play. They will be back in action Friday, Oct. 12 when they host Grand Valley State for a 3:30 p.m. kick off.
