Beddoes' Hat-Trick Lifts Oilers Past Bulldogs

The University of Findlay women's soccer team defeated Ferris State University by the score of 4-0 on Sunday, Oct. 14 in Findlay, Ohio.

Emily Beddoes had a monster day for the Oilers, scoring three goals and recording an assist en route to a shutout victory.

Findlay got on the board in the 33rd minute when Megan Gallaway found Beddoes with a header to make the score 1-0. Beddoes' second and third goals came unassisted in the 71st and 74th minutes of the game.  

Sarah Silone scored the Oilers second goal off a header from Beddoes in the 57th minute.

Findlay's defense played one of their best games of the season, allowing only five total shots, while keeper Kelsea Corns recorded three saves.

With the win, the Oilers jump to 5-6-1 on the year with a 5-3-1 mark in GLIAC play. They will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 19 when they travel to Malone for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
