Oilers Win 4th Straight

The University of Findlay women's soccer team won their fourth straight game, 4-0 over Malone University on Friday, Oct. 19 in Canton, Ohio.  The victory gives the Oilers a 6-6-1 record on the season with a 6-3-1 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers had two goals in each half as they held a dominating 27-4 advantage in shots.  They also had 14 corner kicks and put 11 shots on goal.

Senior Emily Beddoes continued her torrid scoring streak with two more goals in the win, giving her seven goals in her last three games.

Beddoes scored off of an assist by freshman Katelyn Anderson just before halftime and added another goal off of an assist by junior Katie Burke at the 62:02 mark of the contest.

Senior Megan Gallaway added a goal shortly after the second half began off of an assist by fellow senior Brittany Guglielmi to round out the Oilers scoring as the first goal of the game was credited to the team.

Junior Kelsea Corns was victorious in the net for Findlay, making two saves in the win.

The Oilers will be back out on the field on Sunday against Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.
