The University of Findlay women's soccer team was defeated 3-2 by Tiffin University on Tuesday, Oct. 23 in Findlay, Ohio.
The Oilers jumped out front in the seventh minute when Megan Gallaway found Emily Beddoes on a lead pass at midfield for Beddoes' ninth goal in five games.
After Tiffin answered with a goal in the 10th minute, Katie Burke found the back of the net off a deflected ball in the box on a Findlay corner kick in the 13th to make the score 2-1. However, Tiffin tied the game once again in the 36th minute, then shut the door in double overtime for the win.
The Oilers had a tough time putting the ball in the net in the second half, outshooting Tiffin 7-2, and 19-7 in the game.
With the loss, the Oilers drop to 7-7-1 on the season. They will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 26 to take on Saginaw Valley at DeHaven Field in Findlay.
