The University of Findlay women's soccer team defeated Northwood University by the score of 2-1 on Sunday, Oct. 28 in Findlay, Ohio.
The Oilers put themselves in the lead in the 38th minute when Emily Beddoes was able to find the back of the net on a loose ball in the box. However, Northwood tied the game 1-1 in the 53rd minute on a rebounded shot off the post.
Four minutes later in the 57th minute, Eryn Weber netted the game winner off a Brittany Guglielmi corner kick.
Samantha Trimboli picked up her first win of the season with four saves between the pipes.
The Oilers finish their regular season with a 8-8-1 overall record, and a 8-4-1 mark in GLIAC matchups. The win also locked up a home matchup in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinal. That game will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at DeHaven Field in Findlay.
