Women's Soccer to Play 2 D1 Teams in 2013

The University of Findlay women's soccer team is coming off of an 8-9-1 season and will be at home for eight games during the 2013 campaign under the guidance of head coach Crystal Dye, who is entering her second season at the helm of the program.

The Oilers will open their season on Sept. 6 at home against NCAA Division I foe Tennessee Tech and follow that game with another home contest against St. Joseph's (Ind.) on Sept. 8.  They will then hit the road to take on Urbana (9/12) and Ursuline (9/17) before returning home to host Tiffin on Sept. 21 at DeHaven Field.

Findlay closes the opening month of the season on the road at Ashland (9/27) and Ohio Dominican (9/29) and will begin the month of October at Cedarville (10/1).  The team will then host Michigan Tech (10/4) and Northern Michigan (10/6) before facing NCAA Division I foe Wright State on Oct. 9 in Dayton, Ohio.

After playing Wright State, the Oilers will host Lake Erie (10/11) before traveling to Grand Valley State on Oct. 18 to take on the Lakers, who reached the NCAA Division II Final Four last year.

On Oct. 20, the Oilers will face Ferris State in Big Rapids, Mich. before their final two home games of the regular season against Malone (10/25) and Walsh (10/27).  They will then conclude the regular season at Saginaw Valley State (10/31) and Northwood (11/2) before the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament begins on Nov. 5.
