Oilers lose 5-2 to Ashland on the road

The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Ashland University 5-2 on Friday, September 27 in Ashland, Ohio.

The Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Allison Richards scored at the 6 minute mark.  Her goal was assisted by Krista Lewis.

The Oilers tied it up when junior Eryn Weber scored at the 25 minute mark. 

The Eagles regained the lead at the 32 minute mark when Krista Lewis scored off of an assist by Allison Richards. 

The Eagles quickly extended their lead when Krista Lewis scored her second goal of the contest at the 35 minute mark. 

Ashland struck again when Kelly Krispinski scored at the 48 minute mark. 

Krista Lewis scored her third goal of the contest for the Eagles at the 63 minute mark. 

Oilers sophomore Kirsten Fruchey scored unassisted at the 69 minute mark of the game. 

Findlay goalkeepers Kelsea Corns and Samantha Trimboli combined for the loss in the net. 

The Oilers, who are now 4-2 on the year, will face GLIAC foe Ohio Dominican on the road Sunday, September 29 at 1 p.m.
