Oilers Lose To Walsh 2-0

The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Walsh University 2-0 on Sunday, October 27 at DeHaven Field.

The Cavaliers jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Emily Durina scored at the 26 minute mark.  Her goal was assisted by Jessie Gearhart. 

The Cavaliers extended their lead when Kristen Conti scored at the 37 minute mark.  Her goal was assisted by Madison Strausbaugh. 

Findlay goalkeeper Samantha Trimboli took the loss in the net and had two saves in the process. 

Although the Oilers out-shot the Cavaliers (13-6), they were unable to capitalize on their scoring opportunities. 

The Oilers, who are now 7-7-2 on the year with a 3-5-2 mark in GLIAC play, will face GLIAC foe Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan on Thursday, October 31 at 2 p.m.
