4 Soccer Players to Enter Wall of Fame

The greatest soccer players from The University of Findlay will be recognized and memorialized at DeHaven Field. Each year the selection committee will decide which player or players will be permanently honored with a plaque on the Oiler Soccer Wall of Fame. The 2015 class of inductees has been released:

Carri (Campbell) Seaman played for the women's soccer team from 1995-1999 and graduated from UF in 2000 with a degree in elementary education. Carri played forward, started 89 times in her career (fourth all time) with the Oilers and scored 76 goals, including six hat tricks. She holds the school record for most goals in a career and most points (181).  Carri is also second on the career assists list with 31, fifth on the most goals in a season list with 21 and tied for second for most assists in a season with 10.  She captained the team in 1999 and was team MVP. In 1996 she was a NSCAA First Team All-American and Second Team NAIA All-American. She was also selected to the NAIA National Women's Championship All-Tournament Team. Carri was voted Second Team All-GLIAC in 1998 and the First Team in 1999. This is Carri's second induction, as she was a member of the 1996 team which was inducted into the Oiler Soccer Wall of Fame in 2013.

Kim (Kobes) Beckner played for the women's soccer team from 1990-1993 and graduated from UF in 1994 with a degree in environmental and hazardous materials management. Kim played forward and scored 61 goals (third all time) in 69 appearances for the Oilers. She also chipped in 26 assists in her career. She is tied for the most hat tricks in a season with 4 in 1990; she holds the record for most shots in a career with 223 and most goals in a game with 7 against Indiana South Bend in 1991. She is second on the list of points in a career with 148 and tied for fifth for the most goals scored in a season with 21.  Kim was selected Second Team All-Great Lakes Region in 1991.

Steve Lyman played for the men's soccer team from 1991-1994 and graduated from UF in 1995 with a degree in physical education and health. He holds school records for most assists in a game (3 versus Bluffton in 1992), most assists in a season (10 in in 1992) and points in a season (38 in 1992). He also holds the career assists record with 20. Only two other players have scored more than Steve's 14 goals in a season while his 28 career goals put him in fourth place, as does his 76 career points. In 1992, Steve was selected Second Team All-District 22.

Ryan Seaman played for the men's soccer team from 1997-2000 and graduated from UF in 2001 with a degree in computer science. He also received his MBA from UF in 2009. Ryan appeared in 72 games in his career, starting 71. He scored 3 goals and added 3 assists for 9 points as a defensive center midfielder. He was selected Second Team All-GLIAC in 1998 and was a NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete in 1999. He is one of only 3 players to win multiple team MVP awards, having been voted MVP in 1998 and 1999.  Ryan was also team captain in 1999 and 2000.

The ceremony will take place in between the women's and men's game on Sunday, Oct. 4 and is tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m.
