Women's Soccer Loses 4-1 to Tiffin

The UF women's soccer team lost 4-1 to the Tiffin Dragons on Wednesday, Sep. 23 at Tiffin University. The loss gives the Oilers a 1-5-1 record on the season.

Offensively, the Oilers had a strong game with 10 shots goal, out=shooting the Dragons.  The Oilers were unable to finish enough of their opportunities though to defeat Tiffin.  The first 2 goals were scored by Tiffin's Svetlana Gudenkova. Tiffin continued their attack when Abby Tabor scored off a pass from Gudenkova. Junior Nicole Mikcolcic led the UF defense to keep Tiffin at their 3-goal lead.

Freshman Marissa Swindell scored for the Oilers in the 87th-minute to put the team on the board. Senior Katelyn Anderson and Swindell are now tied for goals scored for the team.

The Oilers play next on Friday, Sep. 27 when they host Ferris State University at 12pm.
