UF Women's Soccer Loses to Walsh 3-2

The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost 3-2 to Walsh University on Oct. 2 in North Canton, Ohio. The loss gives the Oilers a 1-6-2 record on the season with a 0-3-1 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The lady Oilers were down 2-0 at the end of the first half against the Cavaliers.  The team made a comeback in the second half when Findlay freshman Megan Kupetz scored the first Oilers goal of the match.  The goal was assisted by senior teammate Carly Morris. The second Oilers goal was scored by senior Katelyn Anderson with help from freshman forward Marissa Swindell.

Findlay's offense out-shot Walsh 12-8 in the second half while the defense caught Walsh offsides 5 times. Sophomore goalkeeper Bre Parrish took the loss in goal.

The women play their next match Oct. 4 at DeHaven Field at 12pm against Ohio Dominican University.
