Women's Soccer Loses 3-0 to Ohio Dominican

The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost 3-0 to Ohio Dominican University on Oct. 4 at DeHaven Field. The loss gives the Oilers a 1-7-2 record on the season with a 0-4-1 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Findlay conceded a goal in the 10th-minute of the first half when the Panthers capitalized off a corner kick. In completion of the first half, Findlay trailed ODU 7-3 for shots on goal.  Freshmen Megan Kupetz, Marissa Swindell and senior Katelyn Anderson had shots for the Oilers in the first half.

Offensively the Oilers increased their shots on goal with 5 shots in the second half.  However, they were unable to capitalize on the ODU defense.  In the 79th-minute the Panthers scored again on Findlay, bringing the final score to 3-0.  Sophomore goalkeeper Bre Parrish takes the loss in goal for the Oilers, but collected 4 saves in the game.

The women play next on Oct. 9 in a 4pm match against Northern Michigan University at DeHaven Field.
