The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost 2-1 against Lake Erie College Sunday, Oct. 25 in Painseville, Ohio. The loss takes the team's record to 1-12-3 on the season, with a 0-9-2 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
The women contended against the Lake Erie Storm when attacking offensively with a 4:5 shooting ratio for shots on goal. Freshman Marissa Swindell increased her goal scoring percentage when she scored in the 57th-minute of game play unassisted. Swindell now has 5 goals on the season and 2 assists.
Senior captain Katelyn Anderson also had shots on goal for the Oilers. Anderson leads the team in goals scored with 6 on the season. Sophomore goal keeper Bre Parrish earned 3 saves in goal during the game.
The women play their final match of the season Friday, Oct. 30 at 3pm against DeHaven Field against Tiffin University.
