Tiffin, OH- The University of Findlay women's soccer team was slayed by the Tiffin University Dragons on Sunday, September 9. This loss gives the Oilers a 3-9-1 overall record and a 1-5-1 record in the conference.
Twenty-eight minutes in the game, Tiffin scored from a rebound off of junior goalkeeper Sarah Baer.
One minute later, freshman Sierra Peacock took advantage of an opportunity to put the ball in the back of the net with an assist from sophomore Marissa Swindell to tie the game up 1-1.
This lead the Oilers into overtime. The first overtime proved to be scoreless as the Oilers and the Dragons fought to score.
In the second overtime, the Dragons put the ball in the back of the net at the 106th minute of the game to win 2-1.
Throughout the game, the Oilers had thirty-four shots with fourteen on goal and the Dragons had fourteen shots with eight shots on goal.
The Oilers will take the pitch again on Friday, October 14 at 12:00pm at Ferris State University to take on the Bulldogs.
