Oilers Wearing Gold to Support ACCO
The University of Findlay women's soccer team will be wearing gold shirts during warmups for their Oct. 21 game at home against Walsh. They will be wearing the gold shirts to help raise awareness for the American Childhood Cancer Organization.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase the gold shirts, which were donated by Dark Horse Restaurant and Buddy's Outings. All proceeds from the sale of the shirts will be donated to the ACCO. The cost of the shirts are $8 apiece.
In addition, there will be a raffle drawing for prizes.
To show support for the American Childhood Cancer Organization, the Oilers will be welcoming Lauren Cunningham to the game as their 12th-man. Lauren is 11 years old and was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014. Through Team Impact, Lauren and the UF soccer players have become friends and supported each other during various activities and games.
After the Oilers soccer game on Oct. 21 against Walsh at the Armstrong Sports Complex, head over to Croy Gymnasium to watch the UF volleyball team in action against 21st-ranked Ferris State. The Oilers volleyball team will also be in gold to help raise awareness for this cause.
