Oilers Pick Up Awards from OCSA

The Oilers had three players earn all-Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) honors and three also picked up all-academic honors from the organization.

Freshman Jayla Campbell and senior Sierra Peacock were each named first team all-OCSA while junior Lindsey Ahbe was voted second team. Ahbe also picked up all-academic honors with her 3.7 grade point average while junior Ashley Zenker (3.83) and junior Paige Casto (3.6) earned academic honors as well.

Campbell, who earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Freshman of the Year accolades, scored nine goals for the Oilers in her first season with the program. The first team all-conference selection also led the team with five game-winning scores and recorded two assists on the year. She was also voted first team all-Midwest Region by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and second team all-Midwest Region by the United Soccer Coaches (USC).

Peacock earned first team all-conference honors and was a second team all-region pick by the D2CCA. She led the squad with ten goals and 23 points. She also contributed two game-winning scores on the year and was named third team all-Midwest Region by the USC.

Ahbe, who was a first team all-conference pick, spearheaded the Oilers defense, which allowed only nine goals the entire season. She was a second team all-Midwest Region selection by the D2CCA and a second team all-Midwest Region pick by the USC as well.

Zenker started all 16 games in which she appeared while Casto made 19 starts and was named second team all-G-MAC.
