Women's Swimming Sends 3 to National Championship
Three members of the Oilers women's swimming and diving team will be heading to the 2013 NCAA Division II National Championship, which is slated to take place on March 6-9 in Birmingham, Ala.
Freshman Kaley Holmstrom will lead the way as she is competing in three events. Holmstrom will swim in the 100 and 200-yard breastroke and also compete in the 200-yard IM.
The Rutherfordton, N.C. native is ranked ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:04.07.
In addition, two of the Oilers divers will make the trip as well. Sophomore Ashleigh Weddington is slated to compete in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives while senior Maddie Bell will take part in the 1-meter dive only.
