Oilers Complete Tom Stubbs Relay in Fremont

The University of Findlay women's swimming team began their season at the Tom Stubbs Relay on Friday, Oct. 4 in Fremont, Ohio.

The Oilers 200-yard medley relay team of Jessica Ward, Molly Cade, Kaley Holmstrom and Ailsa Hershaw took fifth place with a time of 1:50.76 and their 3x100-yard backstroke relay team of Ward, Marissa McDonald and Hershaw also finished fifth in their event at 3:02.22.

Holmstrom, Hershaw, Ward and Hannah Schreiber took sixth place in the 4x100 IM relay with a time of 4:16.06 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Ward, Annie Currin, Cade and Hershaw was sixth at 1:43.15.

The Oilers 3x100-yard breaststroke relay team of Holmstrom, Kate Fisher and Kari Lemanski was sixth after crossing the line in 3:43.61 and their 3x100 butterfly relay team of Cade, Emily Annen and Schreiber finished sixth with a time of 3:04.61.

The team will return to the pool again on Oct. 12 when they face Lake Erie in Geneva, Ohio at 1 p.m.
