Huskies Top Oilers 7-2

The University of Findlay women's tennis team was defeated by Michigan Technological University on Saturday, October 1.  The 7-2 loss to the Huskies gives the Oilers a 2-7 record on the year with a 1-7 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Singles competition:

2. Ploy Suthijindawong (MT) def. Kelsey Yoder (UFW) 6-0, 6-2

3. Kira Eck (MT) def. Jessica Adkins (UFW) 7-5, 6-0

4. Chelsea Uganski (MT) def. Allison James (UFW) 6-3, 6-2

5. Jacqueline Kukulski (MT) def. Beverly Beavers (UFW) 6-0, 6-0

6. Emily Gerber (UFW) won by default

Doubles competition:

1. Natalia Lebedeva/Kira Eck (MT) def. Holly Vietzke/Allison James (UFW) 8-2

2. Ploy Suthijindawong/Chelsea Uganski (MT) def. Jessica Adkins/Kelsey Yoder (UFW) 8-3

3. Christina Terry/Beverly Beavers (UFW) won by default

The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow when they host Lake Superior State Universtiy at 10 am.
