Lakers Defeat Women's Tennis 8-1 on Friday

The University of Findlay women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Grand Valley State University on Friday, Sept. 13 in Allendale, Mich.  The loss gives the Oilers a 0-2 record on the season with a 0-0 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers doubles team of Lauren Jonathan and Matina Matic claimed their lone victory as they defeated Grand Valley State's Lexi Rice and Carola Orna by a score of 9-8 (8-5).

The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow at Northwood University.  The match is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in Midland, Mich.
