7 Tennis Players Earn Scholar Athlete Honors

The University of Findlay tennis program had a total of seven student-athletes earn Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete honors as the organization released their annual awards on July 16.

The women's team had four individuals capture the honor. Senior Nina Djordjevic, junior Tijana Raicevic, junior Viktoriya Shkola and sophomore Matina Matic all earned the honor.

The men's team meanwhile had three athletes pick up the honor. Senior Robin Semal and juniors John Kidd and Djordje Ljubinkovic each earned the award.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman thorough senior year).
