ITA Academic Awards

Findlay, OH – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released the names of 3,908 student-athletes that have earned All-Academic status, as well as naming the 720 teams in college tennis that earned 2017 All-Academic Team status. The University of Findlay men and women earned the team award while seven women and three men earned the individual honor.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is given to any ITA program whose varsity letter winners earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Individuals were awarded if they earned a varsity letter, had a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, and had been enrolled for at least two semesters at their present school.

The seven women who fit that criteria included Matina Matic, Tijana Raicevic, Sheridan McLean, Megan Carnahan, Kaylee Davis, Bei Li Martin, and Kristi McDonald. On the men's side, Oriol Ferrer, Sherwin Miranda, and Colin Emert each earned the award.
