Oilers Complete Day One Of Findlay Classic

The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field teams completed the first day of the Findlay classic on Friday, Jan. 25 in Findlay, Ohio.

Jessica Rowland continued to dominate in the women's weight throw, finishing first and breaking her own school record with an NCAA automatic qualifying toss of 67-06.00. Meanwhile, the 4x800-meter relay team of Alexa Stults, Erica Bettac, Deidre Latham and Kayla Sandelbach placed second with a time of 9:44.18.

Samantha Hassen and Abigail Magner finished third and fourth in the 5,000-meter run with times of 19:22.74 and 19:32.65, respectively.

On the men's side, the distance medley team of Jacob Hayes, Michael Travis, Dillon Webster and Justin Eilerman finished second with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 10:17.42.

Individually, Tim Majoy placed first in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:09.21.

The Findlay Classic will conclude tomorrow.
