Oilers Conclude Day Two Of Sea Ray Relays

The University of Findlay men and women's track and field team completed day two of the Sea Ray Relays on Friday, April 12 in Knoxville, Ten.

Derrick Vicars led the men with a second place, NCAA automatic qualifying heave in the shot put with a distance of 61'11.75. Taylor Miller and Marcus Vicars finished sixth and 12th in the same event with marks of 59'01.25 and 54'08.00, respectively.

In the discus, Darren Bass finished fourth while Marcus Vicars finished fifth with tosses of 158'09 and 157'10, respectively.

In men's running events, Dillon Webster won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.21, while Tim Sanders had a third place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional time of 52.62, and took 10th in the 100-meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14.37.

Tim Majoy took sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 9:16.41.

On the women's side, Christine Zimmermann took 15th in the 800-meter run with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 2:13.77, while Alexa Stults finished ninth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:50.85.

The Sea Ray Relays will conclude tomorrow.
