Track Kicks Off Season with Oiler Opener
The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field teams will begin their season on Dec. 6-7 when they host the Oiler Opener inside the Malcolm Athletic Center.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Friday and continue through Saturday.
In addition to the meet the Oilers will recognize two former track athletes, who won the 2012-13 male and female athlete of the year awards at UF, respectively.
Jessica Rowland will be on hand to receive the female award and a national championship ring while former national champion Derrick Vicars will be there to accept the male award.
The Oilers will also present GLIAC Championship rings to former Oilers' Kirby Blackley, Pam Bullock, Stephanie Charnigo, Danielle Grochowaslki, Sarah Heinfeld, Alana Margraf, Nicole Matthews, Abbie Shook, Paul Johnson, Kendall Stevens, Dakel Vicks and Ed Vilt.

Xavier, Marshall, Eastern Michigan, Miami, Findlay, Hillsdale, Wayne State, Cedarville, Central State, Kentucky State, Ohio Northern, Bluffton, Heidelberg and Siena Heights.
