Important H.S. Meet Information - Please Read

The entries are MUCH, MUCH larger than expected at the M-F Athletic meet at The University of Findlay tomorrow, February 28 with 450 entries in the field and over 1200 entries on the track. Projected time schedule at this time is past midnight.

To try and manage these number of entries we ask for your scratches and will also implement the following changes:

1) 5:00pm field events will now begin at 4:45pm (or earlier if athletes are ready) - this includes boys WT, LJ, HJ, & PV and girls LJ & HJ.

2) Boys SP will start at 5:30pm. Girls SP will start after Girls WT (approximately 8:15pm).

3) In the HJ's, bar raises will not wait for absent competitors. Athletes entered in events contested at the same time must make the HJ their priority (LJ officials will allow you to move to a different flight to get in all your jumps).

4) In the 60m dash and 60m hurdles... we will run prelims, immediately followed by the final in that event saving time adjusting hurdles and curbing. Top 8 times will advance to the final. We will announce lane assignments immediately after the last prelim heat. Prelim heats will be seeded by entering time and will run heats fast to slow (i.e, fastest heat first, second-fastest next, etc.)

5) There will be a "double check-in" in the 400m (191 entries right now) and 200m (200 entries right now). Athletes will need to confirm at the hip number table (deadlines will be announced) --- those not confirming will be scratched, then the heats will be seeded.

6) Coaches must count laps for their athletes in the 3200m.

7) A REVISED time schedule will be posted on our website approximately 7pm this evening.
