Coger named assistant volleyball coach

Findlay volleyball welcomes Annie Coger to the coaching staff as the assistant coach for the Oilers. From recruit to graduate assistant to alumna, Annie (Dzierwa) Coger is no stranger to the University of Findlay. As a 2002 recruit from Toledo, Coger signed with the Oiler volleyball program and she played four years for head coach Wick Colchagoff. While playing with the Oilers, Coger played in 430 sets which is 11th all-time. She still holds the rank of second for career digs at 1,349.

After graduating in 2006 with a degree in Education she returned to the program as a graduate assistant for two years graduating with a Masters degree from the University of Findlay in 2008.

"Annie is going to be a great addition to our program and will provide an easy transition into the 2011-2012 season," Colchagoff said. "We are really excited to have her back as an Oiler."

Coger has been coaching at Oiler Attack Volleyball Club for the past six years in addition to serving as the junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Findlay High School the past three seasons. "I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do at the college level and can't wait to get started—it's great to be back at the university," Coger remarked.

Coger will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of the program, including preparing scouting reports and practice planning. She will also serve as the team's recruiting coordinator.
