Oilers Knock Off Lake Erie 3-1

The University of Findlay volleyball team defeated Lake Erie College 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-16) on Sunday, October 31 in Painesville, Ohio. The win gives the Oilers a 12-13 record on the season with a 6-10 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Junior Jessica VonIns turned in a solid all-around performance in the victory with 18 kills, 16 digs and 13 assists while freshman Danielle Taflinger contributed 14 kills.

Senior Megan Florence made the offense go with 32 assists while senior Abby LaVigne handled defensive duties to the tune of 14 digs.

The Oilers will be back in action again on November 2 when they travel to Detroit, Michigan to face Wayne State University at 7 pm.
