The University of Findlay volleyball team was defeated by a score of 3-0 (16-25, 22-25, 23-25) by Ferris State University on Friday, September 23 in Big Rapids, Michigan. The loss gives the Oilers a 3-7 record on the season with a 1-5 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
Freshman Samantha Granger led the team with 11 kills while sophomore Danielle Taflinger racked up eight.
Senior Jessica VonIns and sophomore Mackenzie Vorst each recorded seven kills while junior Maggie Naayers produced six.
VonIns added 29 assists while sophomore Jacqui Endre contributed a team-high 16 digs for the defense.
The Oilers will play Grand Valley State University tomorrow at 4 pm in Allendale, Michigan.
