Oilers Slay the Dragons 3-1

The University of Findlay volleyball team defeated Tiffin University 3-1 (25-23, 27-29, 26-24, 25-18) on Friday, October 21, at Tiffin, Ohio. With the victory, the Oilers improve to 4-9 in GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) with a 10-11 mark in the 2011 campaign.

Danielle Taflinger generated 21 kills in the contest while teammate Mackenzie Vorst had 17. Jessica VonIns tallied a phenomenal 50 assists for Findlay.

Samantha Granger produced 15 digs and Andrea Holthaus had four blocks for the Oilers.

The University of Findlay volleyball team will travel to Ohio Dominican University on Saturday, October 22. The match is slated to start at 5 p.m.
